Our early childhood music classes are non-performance based. We believe that young children learn best through play, and that the most important role models for young children are the adults who love them the most! We offer weekly forty five minute in-person classes.
All of our Music Together® and Rhythm Kids® teachers have collegiate degrees in Music and/or Education, in addition to having completed the Music Together Intensive Teacher Training. We are passionate about sharing the joy of music with you and your little ones!

Our individual classes truly become a musical community. Many of our families continue through the entire three year Music Together sequence and then move onto Rhythm Kids®, creating long-standing social and musical friendships with one another.
In addition to the Music Together program, Alley Bell Music is also pleased to offer these musical opportunities for our growing learners:
Private Voice Instruction: Students ages 8 and up are invited to pursue private voice instruction with Sarah Richàrd or Elizabeth Galafa Ylaya. Students learn a variety of classical, folk and musical theater repertoire, with the focus being on creating a healthy and sustainable singing voice, and learning audition and performance skills. Private Piano Instruction: Mary Rose Lieberman, Sarah Giordano and Jaemee Kim all maintain their private piano studios at Alley Bell Music. All three teachers are known for their playful approach to learning, and enjoy working with students of all ages. Lessons are available to ages 5 and up. Group Piano Instruction:
We offer a year long, 27 session group piano curriculum for ages 4-8, using the Safari Friends, and Piano Safari Level 1 curriculums. Registration for these classes requires a full year commitment, and is done via our class registration page at Alleybellmusic.com
This special introductory Music Together class is for babies newborn to eight months. No older siblings allowed, as everything is geared towards the needs of our youngest non-mobile learners! If your baby is already crawling, we encourage you to try a Mixed Ages class instead. Come explore how to bond with your baby through music, and learn what to look for and encourage developmentally as they begin their musical journey! Tuition includes a weekly 45 minute in-person class, illustrated songbook, CD, digital downloads, and parent guide. Masking is optional in all indoor classes. This class is held in a room with HEPA air filtration.
Music Together Mixed Ages, 9 Weeks
Our in person Music Together Mixed Ages classes are for children ages newborn to 5, and the adults who love them! Each weekly in-person class is 45 minutes long. Masking is optional for all indoor classes. Tuition includes a fully illustrated songbook, CD, digital downloads, and parent education materials.
Rhythm Kids®, Ages 4-7
Rhythm Kids® is meant to be the "next step" in your child's Music Together journey! This class continues to build on the concepts of rhythmic and tonal competency while introducing musical games, various opportunities for musical leadership and improvisation, and the introduction of the djembe drum! Children must be between the ages of four and seven to attend this class, and while parent participation is STRONGLY encouraged, this class is an optional drop-off class. Children will receive a songbook, CD and digital downloads for this class!
Full Year Beginning Piano Class, Ages 4-5
Join us for Piano Safari Friends! This beginning piano class is for children ages 4-5 and their favorite grown-up! Our goal is to facilitate joyful beginning piano experiences between you and your child. Caregiver participation is required, both in the classroom and during facilitated practice time at home.
Using the Piano Safari curriculum, your child will learn how to identify various keys on the piano, will learn piano playing numbers for each finger, songs by rote, rhythm patterns and consistency of macro and micro beats, follow the leader songs that they can play with their grown-up, body awareness including the release of tension in arms and shoulders, ear training to distinguish high and low pitches, and proper hand positioning at the keyboard. Tuition includes the Piano Safari Friends student book, and a notebook with additional materials.
*All students registering for this class MUST have access to a full size (88keys) piano or digital keyboard in their home, and families must be willing to commit to 10-20 minutes of adult facilitated time at the piano daily for the duration of the class.

3 Week Interim Session: Music Together Mixed Ages
Join us for a short three week interim session using Music Together's Mini Berry Collection! This collection is newly curated for the 2025-2026 school year using "favorites" drawn from our nine school year collections! Interim families will receive a digital music code and a small song booklet as part of their tuition package.
